Summer's here again! Here we have another excuse to consume lots of ice cream (yey!). One of my favorite frozen treats is Chambungau Samanco, a goldfish-shaped wafer containing sweet red beans and chewy rice cake tucked in creamy vanilla ice cream sandwich. I just loooooove the chewy rice cake pieces! It's a bit like the pearls you get in the Quickly shakes. Yum yum! I get my Chambungay fix from the Korean grocery near our house. It's comfort food! Good good goooood comfort food. I guess it's because it kinda reminds me of those local ice cream on a stick, monggo flavor! I think I last ate some when I was in high school, when our neighbor had a sari-sari store selling some and they had monggo, buko, chocolate, and cheese flavors. Saraaaaaaap!
